Jenny Ong was invited to be a Trainer for the NYC-YEP Leaders’ Training course in 2006, and she has to-date conducted more than 70 YEP workshops. YEP Leaders attending the workshops have the opportunities to network with and learn from other YEP leaders, and they will also hear from Jenny first-hand stories on the nuts-and-bolts of leading YEPs.

Jenny has 10 years of experience conducting training on leading service-learning trips. In her 6 years with the Singapore International Foundation, she had the opportunities working with communities in the regions developing appropriate projects for YEP. Jenny had worked with partners from the non-government organizations, United Nations agencies, government departments, village heads and youth groups.

Jenny completed her Master in Public Administration degree with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, specializing in humanitarian and development work. She wrote a few papers on disaster relief work and co-wrote a case study with Dr Caroline Brassard on “The Role of the Singapore Armed Forces in Post-Tsunami Relief in Aceh and Nias”. The case study was used as a teaching case in one of the modules at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
